I offer conversational sessions of various lengths for reading astrology and tarot, which you can read about at my offerings page. Some of these readings are designed to suit a more general curiosity, whereas others speak to specific interests, like your year ahead, your creative practice, and your relationship with specific god-planets. No matter what offering you book, I will tailor it to your interests, background, and learning style, because I want the reading to be as resonant and accessible as possible.

Each session is a unique experience based on what you bring to the reading, the particulars of your chart, and the amount of time you have booked. We usually begin with gentle introductions and grounding one another and ourselves in our present moment and location. Then, we might discuss some details about how I use astrology. Next, we’ll give you a chance to express specific areas of focus or questions that interest you for our work together. The rest of the session is a dynamic conversation about the parts of your chart that speak to the curiosities you’ve expressed, with ample opportunity to pivot into what feels most meaningful to you. Throughout the session, you will be encouraged to weigh in, make connections, and ask questions. I always want you to shape the flow of our session, as much as you are comfortable doing so, because I believe that will allow you to get the most resonant interpretations from your chart. My goal is for you to feel empowered with accessible symbolic language that shapes your experience of being-in-time, and which gives you supportive ways of working with and through the cosmic narratives that your chart has to offer.

We will spend some time co-shaping this question in a way that will generate the most meaningful responses from the way that the tarot talks to me, and, in some cases, we will co-shape the spread that we will use to speak with the tarot.

Throughout the session, you will be encouraged to weigh in, make connections, offer interpretations, and ask questions. I always want you to shape the flow of our session, as much as you are comfortable doing so, because I believe that will allow you to get the most resonant interpretations from the tarot. My goal is for you to feel empowered with accessible visual and symbolic language that can act as a portal to new ways of understanding the questions that brought you to the cards.

Yes! To arrange a gift card, please reach out to me directly through the Contact Me page (rather than booking through the scheduling site). You’ll choose the amount you’d like to give based on my offerings, then send payment via PayPal or Venmo. I’ll create a digital gift card for you to print and include in a card — or email directly to the recipient. When you’re ready, I’ll also follow up with the recipient myself to share the gift card and instructions for booking their session. The card will come with a promo code allowing the recipient to book directly. Gift cards do not expire.

I am currently working on incorporating a sliding scale into my practice, but right now I’m offering sessions at a flat rate. If you would like a reading but can’t afford one at my full price, please reach out via my Contact Me form: I can schedule one half-price reading per month upon request.

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 48 hours in advance for a full refund or an alternative date and time, using my booking page. 

For cancellations within 48 hours, I cannot offer refunds, but I’m happy to accommodate a one-time reschedule if something urgent comes up — just reach out.

Creating a recording of our session is a great way for you to refer back to the conversation as you gradually process its contents — I highly recommend it!

I do not have the storage capacity to manage the files of all of my client sessions, but I will invite you to record the session from Zoom directly to your computer. That way, you can access the video or audio versions. (I recommend adding the audio version to your phone and taking it on a walk!)

If you want a recording but can’t record it yourself, I can accommodate this periodically, but I cannot store recordings for an extended period of time.

Sessions typically take place on Zoom, unless we happen to be in the same geographic area. If you would like to arrange an in-person session, the details of this can be worked out on an ad hoc basis, but may occasionally cost more to account for the additional travel and time expenses.

I love that you’re thinking so sweetly about how to celebrate your loved ones’ transition into parenting and the arrival of a new beloved person! 

My practice requires me to have the informed consent of everyone whose birth chart I read. That means I can’t read for babies, young children, or anyone who can’t or won’t volunteer to have their chart interpreted. I can, however, give your new parent friend(s) a reading that focuses on their journey into parenthood, or whatever topics they feel most called to explore with astrology or tarot--which is a great way of honoring your friend’s initiation into parenthood, even if we don’t discuss the new child’s chart. You can book the gift certificate amount that seems right to you based on my offerings, and then I will hammer out the details of the reading with the recipient.

That depends! Synastry, or the art of interpreting the relationship between two or more birth charts, is not one of my core offerings, but I can do it for $150 for a 60-minute reading, or $210 for a 90-minute reading.

The key requirement is that both parties consent to the reading; I don’t read birth charts for people who are not themselves seeking or consenting to an astrological reading.

I completely understand how it can feel intimidating and/or inaccessible for many folks to work within my primary setup of conversational consultations.

The conversational style is my favorite method, but I totally have respect for the fact that it’s not accessible for everyone. That’s why I am more than happy to work in a few other modalities too, since I aim to make my practice as accessible as possible! 

For folks who would rather not have a conversational consultation, we can communicate via email to send some questions back and forth, and then I can record voice memos of myself talking about what I see in your chart, or, in specific cases, I can provide written interpretations.

Alternative modalities usually cost extra due to the additional labor required from me.

I myself am skeptical of many mainstream approaches to astrological understanding and tarot reading, and I have a very particular philosophical approach to astrology and tarot that is grounded in how these divinatory methods produce meaning for me.

I simply ask that you demonstrate respect for my practice and keep an open mind.

Electional astrology informs my practice, and I enjoy suggesting auspicious timings (especially in Creative Consultations), but I do not currently offer electional astrology readings as such. For example, we could use some electional astrology to generate a good working calendar for your current creative project, but I wouldn’t necessarily want to elect a date for your wedding.
